Walton Lake is the place we always head to and this year we knew we had to go there and no where else only becasue laborday weekend is the LAST weekend that Walton lake will be open until summer of 2011.
So sad. Its bee a family tradition to go up there every fathers day since my grandparents past away and this next year we wont be able too...so sad.
We took full advantage to the long weekend and headed out there. Let me tell you camping has NEVER been so much fun now that i have my little Matthew.
All he talked about on the way out there was going fishing. So we made sure to get all that we needed for that.

He forgot how much patience is involved in fishing and I am not sure that he has that amount of patince. But it was cute to watch him.

He waited...(with his little net)

And waited.........

Then looked for the fish...... You can see what he is thinking ("I know they are here somewhere")

He finally caught a little Cat fish!!! and WOULD HAVE NOTHING to do with it.
At camp he did nothing but play in the dirt and get as dirty as he could.

We told stories, roasted all meals over the campfire, and marshmellows at night. Went on hikes and took pictures during the day, and lots more fishing....

He scouted for deer and when he saw them he Screamed "I want to shoot it!!" and when I would tell him no, hje screamed "call uncle Josh" He knows that Uncle Josh will take him hunting when he is old enough.
Anyway it was a fabulous last trip to Walton Lake until 2011!!!
